    About Us

Schoolzine began with a simple belief: when parents are engaged in their child’s school life, students do better. Nearly two decades on, that belief still guides everything we build.

A content holder is a block of content, like your Uniform Shop hours or your school’s contact details, that you can show on one or more web pages. Update the content holder once and every page that uses it changes too.

Content holders #

In the Control Centre, select Content → Content Holders. Use New Folder to keep them organised, and the filters to find them by tag or status.

The Content Holders list

Add a content holder #

  1. Click New Content Holder.
  2. Give it a Name your team will recognise and a Title to show on the page.
  3. Leave Status ticked as Active. Set a Release Date, and untick Never under Expiry if the content should disappear on a certain date.
  4. Choose a Content Folder and add Tags if you use them.
  5. Write the content in the editor. You can add pictures, links, tables and video.
  6. Click Save.
A new content holder

To show it on a page, open the web page and pick the content holder from Add content under Page Content.

Tip: Expiry dates are handy for seasonal content, such as enrolment information, so it comes down by itself.

The Media Library #

The Media Library holds the images, PDFs and other files you use on your website and in newsletters. Select Content → Media Library.

The Media Library
  • Drag files onto Quick Add to upload them straight away.
  • Click New File to upload a file with more details.
  • Search, or filter by status, type or tag, to find a file.
  • Click Folder View to browse by folder.
  • Tick several files and use Bulk Actions to change them all at once.

Add a file with details #

  1. Click New File.
  2. Give it a Name and, optionally, a Title and Tags.
  3. Click Choose File under Upload File and pick the file.
  4. Set a Release Date or Expiry Date if the file should only be available for a while.
  5. Click Save.
