Newsletters

Why do I need a newsletter?

It all comes down to this: a newsletter will help you better engage and support your school communities, which then builds mutual trust.

Use your newsletters to celebrate school and student achievements and keep parents/guardians updated and engaged on important announcements and information. In return for providing this regular, professional, informative, and accessible communications update, your school’s reputation, together with enrolment numbers, may well grow.

Trusted by schools, dioceses, organisations, and associations across Australasia

Helpful features

Accessibility

Students with disabilities, non-English speaking families, and diverse learners can fully engage with school materials. Newsletters can be translated into 87 different languages using add-on, EduTranslate. And a responsive design means easy reading for mobile and tablet users.

Visibility

Visibility across all sites provides insight into things you would never have been able to easily see before.

Central management

Dioceses, multi-campus schools, and any education entity managing multiple sites (e.g., multi-childcare centre networks) can use our Enterprise solution to ensure their local newsletters all have consistent branding, meet high child protection standards, and allow critical updates to be made network-wide at the click of a button. <Link underlined to Enterprise page>

Unlimited support

Our locally based, human, customer success team do the heavy lifting to help ensure parents/guardians stay informed and connected, and your school maintains its respectable reputation. The 2,000+ schools and 11 dioceses who already trust us have witnessed the difference this support has made, especially with the extra time that’s been awarded back to staff.

Branded templates

Create great looking newsletters in no time. Build your templates in a training session, then hand them over to your schools to populate. Include galleries of student artwork, links to events calendars, a side banner for critical updates (into which central governing bodies can push out network-wide content). And leave lots of space for all the school and student achievements. The outcome will be a communications piece so professional it suggests you’ve acquired a graphic design degree!

Analytics

Gone are the days of PDF newsletters. The parent/guardian audience prefer to click on a link. And that’s how you get your data.

What articles are being read? How is the news being digested? How many times have they opened the newsletter? How long do they stay on a section? What language are they translating it into?

Quorn Area School SA

The team at Schoolzine have been nothing but friendly and helpful.

Quorn Area School in South Australia swapped its black-and-white paper newsletter for an accessible digital newsletter, mobile app and custom-built website. Since Schoolzine launched in the school community, outreach to parents and friends has grown tenfold.
Mount Annan High School NSW

SZapp is amazing! It is a one stop shop for all families.

Mount Annan High School in NSW needed one simple platform shared with a neighbouring school. Messages now go out across email, app, website, RSS and SMS from one control panel, and SZapp puts newsletters, notes, calendar, notifications and payments in one place for families.

FAQ

How much control does each school in a network have over newsletter design?

School’s can be given a branded template or can easily create their own, depending on how you want to manage this across your network. They will have the ability to populate the template with their own content, but as the central governing body, you will be able to push out important network-wide notifications into the side banner of every school’s newsletter, ensuring everyone is updated at the same time. You can do this at the click of a button.

Our system adheres to compliance, security, accessibility, and best practice standards, including the protection of child identification through Image Guardian’s facial blur and redact tools, and consent to publish protocols. A parent or guardian’s wishes will always be considered.

Yes, Schoolzine is safe. We have enterprise-grade security, ST4S-approved status, and our Image Guardian tool enables non-scrapable face blurring on images.

Schoolzine’s difference is our team. We are all human (no bots). We live locally, across Australia and NZ. And we live and breathe education communication systems – and that’s all we do. Our focus is 100% on maintaining and improving a system that simply works, and works simply. We understand dioceses, large schools, small schools, multi-campus schools, and we understand your specific needs and nuances. We’ve built the Schoolzine system and implemented updates purely based on diocese and school feedback, to ensure it really does address your needs, even when things change. We also offer unlimited training and support. And you will always get a quick response, and a human answering the phone.

The cost of Schoolzine depends on which tools you choose to use. We’re about one third of the price of some comparable tools on the market, and could work out less expensive than the cost of using manual tools such as phones and spreadsheets. For small schools, you can use the same platform big schools use, scaled for your budget.

Yes, we offer a free demonstration of the system so you can see how it works and understand the benefits it can bring. Book a demo here.
